This past weekend was ESA Indiana's State Convention! Eta Pi had a fantastic time celebrating 50 years with Camp Riley and all the time and donations we've given to our state and national projects. We also had four members, Tammy Bryant, Audreyalice Warner, Sara Pitcher, and Monica Haddock, installed as State board members.

We are headed into the new ESA year, and things are exciting here in Fishers! Eta Pi continues to grow - we have several new members, a few are graduates from Phi Alpha at Ball State - and we installed our new officers at our last chapter meeting. We are so excited to have Lynette as our new president, and we are looking forward to embracing her theme of Paying it Forward! Our officers for this upcoming year are:
  • President: Lynette Kircher
  • Vice President: Ashley Wallace
  • Recording Secretary: Amy Miller
  • Educational: Monica Haddock
  • Parliamentarian: Audreyalice Warner
  • Ways and Means: Sara Pitcher
  • Treasurer: Wendy Carter
  • Corresponding Secretary: Sue Bigler
  • Junior Past President: Kelly Hansan

We are headed into our busiest time of the year! We have several members headed to Columbus, Indiana this weekend for State Convention, and we have a lot of great philanthropic opportunities coming up! We also had a busy spring - we had five members head to Camp Riley for the day in May to plant flowers and get the grounds ready for campers, and we also took part in the Relay for Life of Fishers!

We raised $271 for the American Cancer Society at Relay. We definitely had the most fun with our Eta Pi Pie War fundraiser! Relayers could donate $1 or more to pie someone on their team, but their team member could then donate just $1 more to not be pied, and to pie the original person. It was a huge hit with the kids at Relay - they had so much fun pieing each other and kept coming back for more!
Our first social event of the summer was heading to Victory Field to watch the Indy Indians take on the Durham Bulls! It was also Alzheimer's Awareness night, so we all wore purple to raise awareness and support the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Indiana! We had a great time (and had awesome seats right on the third base line)!

The summer is going to be busy, but we are looking forward to it! We are also beginning to plan our annual golf outing, which will take place on September 24. check back for more Eta Pi updates!
